….Commission hosts workshop on corporate governance Nigerian telecommunications
The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr Aminu Maida, has congratulated Mr. Idris Olorunnimbe, Chairman-designate of the Commission’s Board, alongside other designate-Board members.
Dr Maida also congratulated the designate-members of the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF) Board, on their appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Maida noted that the leadership team, as constituted by President Tinubu, comprised highly esteemed individuals of proven competence, with vast experience and impressive track records.
A statement personally signed by Dr Maida, stated that the collective expertise of the new appointees, is expected to steer the communications industry in the right direction, and provide the impetus to further transform Nigeria’s digital economy.
Maida said the appointees will bring to bear their wealth of knowledge, strategic insight, and strong governance to enhance the regulatory work of the Commission.
The NCC expressed its profound appreciation to President Tinubu for the appointments and looks forward to working closely with its supervising Ministry and the Board to deliver on the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria’s digital economy.
In a related development, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), recently hosted a workshop and formal launch of Guidelines on Corporate Governance for Nigerian Telecommunications Industry in Lagos.
