NDA Confirms Bandits’ Attack, Killing, Abduction Of Its Personnel
The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) on Tuesday confirmed an attack on its facility by unknown gunmen that succeeded in killing two of its personnel and the abduction of one person.
This was contained in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Academy, Major Bashir Muhd Jajira, saying the Nigerian military premier institution was attacked in the early hours of Tuesday by unknown gunmen.
Major Jajira said the gunmen gained access into the residential area within the Academy in Afaka.
According to Jajira; “During the unfortunate incident, we lost two personnel and one was abducted”.
The NDA spokesman said the military institution, in collaboration with the 1 Division, Nigerian Army and Air Training Command, as well as other security agencies in Kaduna State are already in pursuit of the deadly gunmen within the general area with a view to tracking them and rescuing the abducted personnel.
Jajira further said; “The NDA community and Cadets are safe in the Academy. We assure the general public that this unknown gunman would soon be apprehended and the abducted personnel rescued”.
