BY GRACE ANYANWU, ABUJA – The Police on Tuesday declared that Nigeria is a safe country with its own peculiar socio-economic and security challenges. 

The Police high command which stated this while reacting to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advice against all travel to some states and border areas in Nigeria, said that the country remains one of the most beautiful places to live in the World.

A statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, said that while the Force acknowledge that Nigeria is not without some security challenges, just like other nations of the World, including the advanced democracies, it however remain peaceful and beautiful.

Part of the statement reads; “The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advice against all travel to some States and border areas in Nigeria. 

“We therefore wish to reassure Nigerians and the International Community of their safety and the commitment of the Police and other security agencies to continue to provide effective security services to the nation.”

  1. Indeed,Nigeria is safe and peaceful. To prove that ,let the I.G of Police and Force P.R.O,Frank Mba ask their wives and children to travel in the night to Birnin Gwari,Zamfara ,Taraba in civilian vehicles without armed escort.
