Nigeria Will Break Up If APC Wins 2023 Election– Obaseki Says
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has warned of possible break up of Nigeria if the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu wins the 2023 general elections.
This was as he expressed confidence in the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, stressing that he has what it takes to get Nigeria back on the path of good governance.
Obaseki, who stated these at the inauguration of the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party’s Campaign Council in Benin, said that no right-thinking person should vote in the APC and Tinubu in next year’s presidential election.
He noted that the debt hanging on Nigeria is going to N60 trillion, adding that every month the APC-led Federal Government is printing Naira notes without production to back it up and therefore asked, “when are we going to get out of it?”
According to Obaseki; “This will be an easy election for us if we campaign right because honestly our heads should be examined as citizens of Nigeria if we contemplate voting a government like APC.
“In fact, like I said, God forbid APC comes into power, this country will break up; this country will fail but it has already failed because nobody has done the kind of damage the APC has done on this country. I don’t know how we will recover.
“My heart is beating. By the time President Atiku comes into power, we will not be able to sleep but to work day and night,” he said.
Obaseki equally castigated the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, saying the supporters of the former governor of Anambra State otherwise known as ‘Obidients’ would soon run out of steam.
