Gallant Troops of the Nigerian Army from the 233 Battalion on Tuesday evening successfully repelled elements of Boko Haram terrorists that attempted to infiltrate Damaturu, the Yobe State Capital.
It was gathered that the terrorists tried to take over Damatur through kukareta Road but met stiff resistance of officers and men of the Nigerian Army. During the fierce battle, the Nigerian Army captured one gun truck belonging to the terrorists as well as destroyed another gun truck.
The gallant soldiers also neutralized several fighters of the Boko Haram terrorists.
