Nigerians Attack On Me In Spain: I’m Fine – Transportation Minister-Amaechi

BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi on Friday confirmed through his Twitter handle of attack on him by some Nigerians at the climate change summit holding in Madrid, Spain.

Amaechi said in the tweet via his handle @ChibuikeAmaechi that the Spanish Polish quickly intervened and repelled the attackers before they could harm him.

He tweeted; “Some minutes ago, I was attacked by a few misguided Nigerians while on national assignment at a climate change event in Madrid, Spain.

“They were quickly repelled by the Spanish police before they could do any harm. I am fine. I was not hurt. Thanks for your support & prayers.” 

It was however not immediately clear if the attackers are members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), group that vowed to attack any person with Igbo roots occupying any public office in the country.
