The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), has extended an invitation to former President Olusegun Obasanjo for a tour of Port Harcourt Refinery to personally assess the facility.

But, in its held position, the NNPC Ltd said it maintains its for former president Obasanjo and therefore urged for a collaboration for the benefit of the nation.

Accordingly, the NNPC Ltd appealed to Chief Obasanjo to take a tour of the rehabilitated facility for a personal assessment.

The company through its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Mr. Olufemi Soneye, said that it welcome President Obasanjo to witness the transformation of the Port Harcourt Refinery.

In the words of Soneye; “This is not a mere Turnaround Maintenance, but a comprehensive overhaul aligned with global standards.”

Soneye stressed that the NNPC Ltd has transitioned into a profit-driven energy company, thus shed its government corporation roots.

He further said that the revitalisation of refineries in Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna underscores the NNPC Ltd’s commitment to Nigeria’s energy security.
