Former Governor of Kano state and Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 election, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has dismissed online reports claiming he is making moves to join another political party ahead of the 2027 general polls.

Denying that he has submitted a letter of intent to jump ship and move on from the NNPP, Kwankwaso urged the public to disregard such reports as they are false in all ramifications.

The Leader of the popular Kwankwasiyya Movement, in a statement shared on his official X page, said no such arrangements have been as he still remains a member of NNPP that currently governs his home state of Kano.

Importantly, the former Kano State governor challenged Nigerians to rely only on information released through his established official channels regarding his political activities and future as the case may.

Ahead of the 2027, speculations have been rife in the media space that Senator Kwankwaso, who held a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in July this year, was on his way to join the rulling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Similarly, following the emergence of African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a strong coalition, many political pundits have been conjecturing that the Kwankwasiyya Movement Leader may eventually join forces with opposition elements led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar battle President Tinubu’s APC come 2027.
