The North Central Forum of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has warned against any effort from any individual or groups, no matter how high placed, aimed at pushing Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State out of the party.
The Forum which gave the warning on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, when its members visited the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State, Sir Tersoo Kula in Government House Makurdi, expressed concern over the wranglings within the ranks of the APC in Benue State which they said portend a negative future for the party, not only in the state but the entire North Central.
Speaking through their Chairanm, Dr. Salah Abdullahi Azazzaga, acknowledged the popularity of Governor Alia which it stressed was integral in the victory of the party in the state thus, called for unity among supporter of the APC in Benue State.
Members of the Forum warned that it would be dangerous to attempt to push out someone who had rescued the party and still have a great potential to save the party in future election.
“We cannot fold our arms and watch someone push Governor Alia out of APC,” the group said.
They laud Governor Alia’s choice of a spokesperson who is not only passionate about policies and ideologies of his principal, but also courageous and knowledgeable about political affairs in Benue State and Nigeria at large.
Earlier, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Tersoo Kula itemized the good work of Governor Alia during his short time in office, and assured of the readiness of the Governor to entrench good governance in the state and make life better for the people.
