Omo-Agege Urges Unity In Delta APC, Praises Stakeholders
- Says peaceful primaries sign of good omen
BY SEGUN ADEBAYO – Excited at having secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket for next year’s election, Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has showered praises on party Stakeholders for the peaceful and transparent conduct of the primary elections held over the week.
He said the development represents a good omen that better days lie ahead for the management and administration of the South-South state, its people, and resources.
In a statement by the Director, Communications and Media Strategy of his campaign organisation, Mr Ima Niboro, the Deputy Senate President also expressed confidence that all the Party’s candidates would defeat the PDP candidates in the State and APC would emerge victorious in the various elections next year.
He saluted all winners at the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senatorial levels for their efforts while also giving kudos to the party’s leadership for ensuring rancour-free and successful primaries.
While also appreciating the leadership for effectively mobilizing APC members to participate fully in the electoral process, the Senator also applauded the emergence of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, Chief Ede Dafinone, and Chief Thomas Joel-Onowakpo unopposed as candidates for Delta North, Delta Central, and Delta South senatorial districts respectively.
He said; “the outcome of all the primaries is a victory for the Delta APC family as it has demonstrated the capacity to work together for the good of the party and the state as a whole”.
Urging the party candidates to see their mandates as a collective, Senator Omo-Agege tasked them with forging unity among all members for the overall success of APC in the 2023 general elections.
“The outcome of the primaries will best be described as no victor no vanquished. All the aspirants gave a good account of themselves and congratulated each other for a good contest”, the governorship candidate noted.
