As the countdown for Ondo State Governorship race begins, one of the strong contenders currently heating up the political space is 40year old, Ms Funmi Ayinke, Waheed – Adekojo, a technocrat and business guru.
Funmi Ayinke has started consultation in earnest and her campaign is gaining traction as she begins from her home base, Akoko.
This was as the people of the land showed unbridled excitement as they trooped out in support of their illustrious daughter.
Prominent Obas and elders of the land, showed up at the palace of the Zaki of Arigidi Akoko land where they gave the successful business mogul their blessings.
One after another, they praised her philanthropy to the people over the years and particularly praised her for being a woman of integrity.
Speaking, the Kabiyesi of Isua Akoko, said that the people of the community are happy to have a woman running for the office of Governor.
According to the Kabiyesi; “We have highly educated people in Akoko and many illustrious sons and daughters who have proven that what a man can do, a woman can also do, if not better”.
The Managing Director of one of Nigeria’s leading Engineering companies, Funmi Ayinke Waheed Adekojo is targeting the APC Governorship Ticket under the slogan: “Hope for All”.
Funmi Ayinke has been noted as one of the top contenders just as political pundits say, she is most likely to get the ticket, being the most prepared and her acceptability by all the constituencies at the moment.
