Organised Labour Suspends Nationwide Indefinite Strike For A Week
The Organised Labour led by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) rose from a joint extra-ordinary National Executive Council (NEC) meeting on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 and announced the suspension of its nationwide indefinite strike.
The suspension of the nationwide strike is for one week to allow the Federal Government meet with the agreement reached over the National Minimum Wage of over N60,000 and reversal of the astronomical increase in electricity tariff.
The President of the TUC, Comrade Festus Osifo, announced the position of the Organised Labour at the end of the joint extraordinary National Executive Council meeting of the unions.
