Osun 2022: Aregbesola’s Sermon On Adeleke’s Victory, Oyetola’s Loss
Former Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who is also the minister of Interior, on Sunday went Biblical over the outcome of the just concluded Governorship election in his State.
Aregbesola, who made his position known on the victory of Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), twitted in his Twitter handle saying; “…the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men..”
The former Osun Governor who is known to had publicy fell out politically with his former Chief of Staff and present Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola, further said; “This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men – (Daniel 4:17).”
He continued; “the Most High ruleth in the affiars of men…”

Senator Adeleke of the PDP was in the early hours of Sunday, July 17, 2022, declared the winner of the Osun Governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Senator Adeleke, who is the uncle to popular musician, Davido, is also the younger brother to the first governor of Osun State, Late Senator Isiaka Adeleke.
The PDP Governorship candidate defeated incumbent Governor Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), having won majority votes cast in 17 out of the 30 Local Government Areas in the state and a total of 403,371 as against 375,027 votes recorded by Oyetola.
