Osun Polls: Buhari Orders Police To Suspend Summons On Senator Adeleke
BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – Following what appeared an open political witch-hunt by the Ibrahim Idris-led Nigeria Police Force, President Muhammadu Buhari is believed to have directed the Inspector General of Police to suspend forthwith the summon it issued the Osun State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Saturday election, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
A dependable source within the presidency told Forefront News on phone that President Buhari expressed displeasure over the action of the police at this critical point in time.
The police had directed and warned Senator Adeleke and four others to in their own interest, report to its Special Investigation Panel for arraignment in court on allegation of examination malpractices.
