BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – The Department of State Services (DSS), on Tuesday warned that any person or group that further engages with its former Director General Alhaji Lawal Musa Daura, his representatives or associates does so at their own peril.

The DSS which stated this while reacting to what it described as insinuations and wide speculations that its former Director General, Alhaji Daura still controls affairs at the Agency, long after his removal from Office, stressed that the Service will not tolerate acts of impersonation designed to undermine it.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the DSS (National headquarters), Mr. Peter Afunanya warned that the Service will decisively deal with person(s), no matter how highly placed, that may engage in such behaviour.

The DSS urged members of the public to take note of the development and avoid circumstances under which unsuspecting persons may be deceived.

Afunanya said that on the other hand, the DSS will continues to recommit itself to the core values of professionalism, selflessness, vigilance and the rule of law that it has always been identified with.
