Pastor Odukoya, Husband To Late Bimbo, Loses Second Wife
The presiding pastor of the Fountain of Life Church, situated in Ilupeju, Lagos, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya on Tuesday announced the passing of his wife of 11 years, Rosemary Simangele Nomthi (nee Zulu).
Odukoya, 63, got married to Nomthi, a South African in Lagos in 2010 as a result of the demise of his first wife in a Sosoliso plane crash in 2005, Pastor Bimbo Rosemary Odukoya.
The plane crash also claimed the lives of hundreds of students of the Loyola Jesuit College, Abuja.
Speaking on his grief, Pastor Odukoya said; “With deep regret and gratitude to God, I have to announce the passing of my wife, Pastor Nomthi Odukoya.
“She battled cancer for the better part of two years. She stood on the word of God and she fought.
“She gave me eleven beautiful years of marriage and two wonderful boys, who I know will be very significant in life.
“I love her with all my heart but who am I to fight the will of God,”Pastor Odukoya said.
Before death of his first wife, Late Pastor Bimbo, she was married to Pastor Taiwo for 21 years and were blessed with three children namely; Tolu, Jimi and Tobi while the marriage between Odukoya and Nomthi is blessed with two male children.
