PDP Not Clean On Internal Democracy – Oshiomhole

BY SEGUN ADEBAYO, ABUJA – National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, insists the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not clean on internal democracy and Nigerians must be wary of its fake promises as the nation approaches the 2019 elections .

He alleged that this obvious lack of internal democracy was clearly manifest during the party’s primaries as the former ruling party printed only one nomination form in states where the sitting PDP governors are seeking re-election.

Comrade Oshiomhole delivered the hard punch on the nation’s main opposition party when the Nasarawa State Governor, Umar Al-Makura visited the APC National Secretariat to submit his Peace and Reconciliation Committee report on the North East geo-political zone.

The APC Chairman urged Nigerians not be fooled by the PDP antics and desperation in returning to power where it mismanaged the nation’s resources through debilitating cases of corruption in the polity

Speaking at the occasion, Governor Al-Makura expressed optimism that the APC would go into the February 2019 general election as a single fighting force, noting that despite the acrimonious party’s primaries; none of the aggrieved stakeholders, particularly in the North East has demonstrated any desire to dump the party.

Al-Makura, whose committee was set up by the APC’s headquarters to interface with aggrieved party members in the North East, assured that his party “will sweep the whole North-East in the forthcoming elections.”

He said he was impressed with the submissions of all the disputants as documented in the Peace and Reconciliation Committee.
