PDP Plotting To Derail Bayelsa, Kogi Elections Using Judiciary – Yar’Adua

BY SEGUN ADEBAYO, ABUJA – Junior brother to late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Col, Adul’Aziz Musa Yar’Adua (retd), has accused the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) of emasculating the judiciary to derail the governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States.

Abdul’Aziz Yar’Adua, who is the National Coordinator of Aspirants Forum of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said it is clear that the PDP is scared of defeat hence the resolved to using the judiciary to attempt disqualification of the APC’s governorship candidates in Kogi and Bayelsa States.

These were contained in a statement issued on Friday in which he urged Nigerians to know that the antics of the PDP in attempting to derail the present administration by using the judiciary to disqualify APC candidates in the two states where governorship election is scheduled to take place on Saturday.

According to him; “It is a known fact that the PDP is using the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Natasha Akpoti to get the Governor Of Kogi State and the APC governorship candidate, Alhaji Yahaya Bello disqualified in the Saturday’s elections.

“We are also aware that the PDP is using Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, an APC member to get our party’s governorship candidate in Bayelsa State disqualified.

“PDP has seen an eminent defeat in the two States, hence the resolved to the use of the judiciary to derail the electoral process,” he said.

Yar’Adua however said that the trick deployed by the PDP through the court would not save its candidate from eminent defeat on Saturday and therefore appealed to the electorates in Kogi and Bayelsa States to go out and vote for the APC candidates on Saturday.
