Spirited attempt by embattled former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Samuel Anyanwu to forcefully gain access into the national secretariat of the Party was on Monday, June 23, 2025, was resisted by the management and staff of the National Secretariat of the Party.
The staff members who stoutly opposed the forceful resumption of Senator Anyanwu as National Secretary, locked up all the offices and collectively left the party secretariat in protest.
The management and staff members of the Party are pointing accusing fingers at Anyanwu as one of the moles planted in the Party and working for the ruling All Progressives Congress to destroy the PDP ahead of the 2027 elections.
Senator Samuel Anyanwu was seen in company of some persons believed to be suspected thugs and determined to force his way into the office of the National Secretary at the party secretariat.
The management and staff of the PDP National secretariate in May, this year told journalists at a briefing that their loyalty was in sync with the decision of the National Working Committee (NWC) that directed the Deputy Secretary, Hon. Setonji Koshodeo to act as the National Secretary in line with the provisions of the Party.
Accordingly, the staff members collectively resisted Anyanwu’s attempt to forcefully gain access into the office of the National Secretary.
The party workers, Forefront News gathered have vowed not to acknowledge or work with Anyanwu as National Secretary, thus locked up their office and left the party secretariat in protest, leaving Anyanwu stranded and embarrassed.
Checks at the PDP National Secretariat, located at Wadata Plaza, Wuse zone 5, Abuja indicated that Anyanwu was later advised by some of his close aides to leave the Party Secretariat as the environment is not conducive for him to operate since no staff member wants to work with him.
It was further gathered that based on the wise counsel by his aides, Anyanwu quietly left the Party Secretariat to avoid further embarrassment and possible breakdown of law and order.
