The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum has donated N100 million to support victims of the attacks in parts of Plateau State that claimed many lives and property worth millions of Naira.

Announcing the donation during their solidarity visit to Governor Caleb Mutfwang at Rayfield Government House in Jos, the Plateau State capital, the governors said the gesture is meant to assist the State government’s rehabilitation efforts in the affected areas.

Led by their forum’s Chairman and Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, the governors expressed their condolences to Governor Mutfwang and the good people of Plateau State.

Governor Mohammed harped on the decentralisation of security and establishment of state police as the way out of the country’s mounting security challenges, noting that there was an urgent need for all stakeholders to forge a united front in tackling the current insecurity across the country.

In his response, Governor Mutfwang, while expressing gratitude to his colleagues for their kind gesture, said the significance of their visit to the state during its challenging time was quite consoling.

This is as he assured them that the donation would be properly utilised to bring succour to the victims and families affected by the deadly attacks.
