Plateau Killings Unacceptable, Unfortunate – NCPC Boss
The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) Rev Yakubu Pam has described the unprovoked attack and killings of innocent people in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State on Christmas Eve as unfortunate and unacceptable.
Rev Pam also condemned in an unmistaken terms, the dastardly killings and warned that the perpetrators of the heinous crime should not take the calmness and hospitable gestures of the good people of Plateau state for granted.
The NCPC boss called on the security agencies to fish out the miscreants behind the killings just as he admonished the good people of Plateau state not to lose faith in God because of the fragile security situation in the state.
While commiserating with the families of those who lost their beloved ones in the attack, Rev Pam said that God will certainly vindicate them and enthrone permanent peace in the Plateau.
A statement by Celestine Toruka, head of Media and Public Relations of the NCPC, said that Rev Pam prayed for the soul of the departed to rest in perfect peace with the Lord.
