President Buhari Reappoints Profs. Rasheed, Oloyode, Others As Heads Of Education Agencies
BY TEMI OHAKWE, ABUJA – President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the re-appointment of Professors Abubakar Rasheed and Ishaq Oloyede as the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC) and as Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) respectively.
The two appointments are for another term of five years.
Also re-appointed are Dr. Hamid Bobboyi as the Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Prof. Josiah Ajiboye as the Registrar of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria and the Executive Secretary of National Board for Technical Board for four years.
Similarly, Prof. Promise Mebine as reappointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Mathematical Center for another term of five years.
The approval of the reappointments of the heads of major agencies under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Education was contained in a statement by the ministry which stated that the re-appointment took effect from August 1, 2021.
