President Buhari Receives Pastor Adeboye In London
The General Overseer, the Redeemed Christian Church of God worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Friday visited President Muhammadu Buhari currently convalescing in London, the United Kingdom.
Called ‘Daddy GO’ by the Church faithful and millions of followers across the world, Pastor Adeboye becomes the first Nigerian clergyman to visit the President following his May 7, 2017 trip out of the country on medical leave.
Though details of the visit are yet to be officially released, sources close to the Redeemed Church hinted that “Daddy GO’ was glad at what he saw of Mr President’s health status and prayed for his full recovery and eventual return to the country soon.
Early this month, another respected Church leader and the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby was in Abuja House, London where he described President Buhari’s healing as a ‘miracle from God’.
Considered as a personal friend of Buhari, with both sharing deep respect for each other, Archbishop Welby had during the visit expressed delight at the president’s rapid recovery from his health challenges, describing it as a testimony of God’s great healing power and answer to prayers offered by millions of people the world over.
So far, the recuperating President Buhari has hosted in the Abuja House, London delegations of his All Progressive Congress (APC) party’s leadership; the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF); his media aides; and the National Assembly (NASS) leadership.
