Finally, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are the kings of Europe. And the Parisians did it in an emphatic style.

On a Saturday night that will be remembered for years to come, PSG demolished Inter Milan 5-0 in the Champions League final at the Allianz Arena to claim their first-ever European title.

The Paris Club became only the 11th side to complete a domestic league, domestic cup and European Cup treble in UEFA history books

From the opening whistle, Luis Enrique’s men showed they meant business and this paid off in the 12th minute as Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring after a perfect pass from Desire Doue.

Eight minutes later, it was Doue himself who doubled the lead with a composed finish following a clever assist from Ousmane Dembele.

Inter had a couple of chances before the break but looked overmatched throughout the first 45 minutes of play.

They briefly showed more fight on resumption of play, but PSG remained in total control, refusing to concede any ground.

Doue struck again in the 64th minute, finishing a brilliant move started by Dembele and Vitinha to make it 3-0.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia added a fourth goal in the 73rd minute, and substitute Mayulu made it 5-0 in the 86th, sealing one of the most one-sided finals in Champions League history.

Impressively, the final whistle confirmed PSG’s long-awaited European triumph, and a night that will go down as memorable in the club history.

Desire Doue was named man of the match with two goals and an assist, while Dembele was also outstanding on the night.

PSG become the first French club since Marseille in 1993 to win the Champions League. They wrapped up the Ligue 1 title some time ago then eased past Reims 3-0 in the French Cup final on 24 May to seal a domestic double ahead of their Munich meeting with Inter.

Luis Enrique is the second coach to achieve this treble on two occasions having previously managed it with Barcelona in 2015.

Pep Guardiola is the only manager to have ever completed the treble twice: with Barcelona in 2009 and Manchester City in 2023.
