Revolution Not Solution To Nigeria’s Problems – Nasarawa Speaker

BY AHMED TUKUR, LAFIA – The Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has called on Nigerians to unite and resist calls for revolution by some Nigerians in the interest of peace and development.

Hon Abdullahi made the call in his Sallah message issued and signed by his Press Secretary, Jibrin Gwamna in which he urged Nigerians to unite and pray for the country to overcome its emerging challenges for development to thrive.

Abdullahi emphasised that the calls for revolution by some Nigerians is not a solution to the nation’s problems but unity, patriotism and fervent prayers will take the country to next level of development.

He emphasized the need for religious and traditional leaders to continue to preach peace, love and unity among their followers.

Abdullahi also called on Nigerians to shun all forms of sentiments but to tolerate and embrace one another for the betterment of the society.

He urged the Muslim communities to use the Sallah period to strengthen their relationship with God and fellow human beings to build an egalitarian society.

The Speaker enjoined eminent Nigerians to support the less privileged ones in order to improve on their standard of living. 

He further said; “And to share the love of the festivities with both the Muslims and non-Muslims for peace, unity and development of the society.”

Abdullahi further advised Nigerians to be security conscious and support the efforts of the security agents in curtailing criminalities in the society just as he called on the people of the state to give their maximum support to President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nasarawa state Governor to enable them succeed in the tasks ahead of them.

The speaker called on the people of the state and Nigerians in general to live in peace, be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and tolerate one another in the interest of development.
