Scary: Lagos Deputy Commissioner of Police Allegedly Commits Suicide In Ogbomoso
A serving Deputy Commissioner of Police attached to the Lagos State Command, DCP Gbolahan Olugbemi, has reportedly committed suicide in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
A report by the Street Journal stated that DCP Olugbemi’s corpse was discovered in the house on Monday afternoon.
That was as it gathered that it is still unknown who found the dead body of the top police officer.
Until his death, DCP Olugbemi was in charge of the Special Investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Lagos.
The late police officer, who was said to have returned home for the Easter celebration before he took his life, was also said to have lived alone on Petros Academy Street in the Federal Low Cost area of Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
Known as a disciplined and thorough officer, DCP Olugbemi once served as an Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the late former governor of Adebayo Alao-Akala of Oyo State.
It was gathered that officers and men of the Nigeria police Force have cordoned off the area even as groups of people were seen, whispering over the unfortunate situation.
