BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday, resolved that the Anambra State Caretaker Committee of the Party, led by Sir Chukwudi Umeaba, would continue to subsist and pilot the affairs of the party in the state until a State Congress is held.
The PDP NWC which met and reviewed the state of its Anambra State chapter also resolved that the Ward and Local Government Congresses as declared by the Appeals Committee are upheld.
The Party National leadership, however, resolved that the State Congress will be held at a later date and time to be determined and announced by the National Working Committee.
A statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan urged all members of the party, particularly in Anambra state to be guided by the NWC’s resolution.
