Senator Bwacha, who represents Taraba South senatorial district, dumped the main opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and was received on Thursday, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, by President Muhammadu Buhari.
He was presented to President Buhari at the State House, Abuja by the Chairman of APC National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni.
The President, who was with his Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, welcomed the ranking Senator into the ruling party assuring him of being in good hands within the APC.
However, no official reason has been offered to explain the lawmaker’s decision to quit the PDP and ultimately his coveted principal officer’s seat at the upper legislative chamber
