A aspirant to the Senate on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Zamfara Central Senatorial district, Honourable Aliyu Abubakar MC has accused the serving Senator for the zone, Senator Ikra Aliyu Bilbis of poor representation, inconsistency and lack of credibility in his dealings with the people he represents.
Abubakar MC, who stated this while addressing thousands of APC supporters at the joint campaign rally, held at party Secretariat in Tsafe Local Government, Zamfara State, stressed that it was disgraceful and ridiculous that Senator Aliyu Bilbis spent three years in the Red chamber of the National Assembly without a single motion despite all the insecurity, out of school children, kidnappings and other vices taking place in the State.
Abubakar MC, who was a commissioner in Zamfara State, assured that if he gets the APC ticket and wins the 2027 election, he would frontally confront the vices affecting the good people of the State through qualitative legislative representation.
He also assured that if elected, he would fight the monster of out-of- school children by setting up a committee in every ward in Senatorial district to handle the sponsorship of school enrolment, uniforms, PTA funds.
Abubakar MC said; “I promise to protect the interest of our people and continue to provide the dividends of democracy as we did in my two tenures when I served as executive chairman and also as commissioner”.
He also pledged to establish skills acquisition training centre in the constituency, for the training of graduates, semi graduates as well as give support for the secondary education graduate to further their education.
Earlier in his address of welcome, the Director General of Aiyu Abubakar MC Senatorial campaign team, Alhaji Mekailu Aliyu, appealed to Governor Dauda Lawal and other party stakeholders to shun imposition of candidates, particularly people like Senator Bilbis, who is known to have totally lost popularity with the people as a result of unacceptable and abysmal representation.
