Senator Orji Kalu Bounces Back To Senate After Release From Correctional Centre

BY GRACE ANYANWU, ABUJA – Former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who was released from Nigeria Correctional Centre, Kuja in the Federal Capital Territory last week, on Tuesday, June 9, 20202, resumed his position at the Senate.

Senator Kalu, who has been away from the Senate’s plenary sessions since December 2019, was welcome to the floor of the Upper Legislative chambers by the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan.

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is the Chief Whip of the Senate. He got elected to the Senate on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) representing Abia North senatorial district.

While welcoming Senator Kalu, the Senate President said, ” Welcome back our one and only Chief Whip. We are very grateful to God for bringing you back.”
