Soludo Announces First Appointments As Anambra Gov
Away from the sordid public drama that trailed his inauguration as the sixth Governor of Anambra on Thursday, Professor Charles Soludo has announced first appointments into his emerging cabinet structure.
The names of three persons that made the list of appointees were contained in a statement released to newsmen by one Mr Joe Anatune, on Thursday in Awka, the Anambra state capital.
According to the statement Professor Osita Chukwulobelu has been appointed as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) with Dr Chukwudi Okoli as the Accountant General.
Also appointed is Mr Chinedu Nwoye as Deputy Chief Of Staff/State Chief of Protocol.
Governor Soludo had in his inaugural speech pledged to deliver on his electoral promises to the Anambra people.
He pointedly stated that his administration’s detailed plan rests on five key pillars of; “Law and order (homeland peace and security); Economic transformation as Nigeria’s next axis of industrial-tech and leisure; Competitive and progressive social agenda (education, health, youth, women and vulnerable groups); Governance, rule of law and a rebirth of our value system; and Aggressively tackling our existential threat posed by the environment towards a clean, green, planned and sustainable cities, communities, and markets.”
According to him; “This agenda is also personal: I am here to build a society where I would be proud to live in after leaving office.”
