A political pressure group on the aegis of Abia North Political Stakeholders, has warned the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio to refrain from his behind the scene moves aimed at removing Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North senatorial zone through the instrumentality of the Court of Appeal.
The group in a communique signed by its president and secretary, Chief Emmanuel Uche and Elder Emeka Igwe respectively, stressed that the senate president was exceeding and extending his boundaries and should be ready to face the consequences of his actions.
The stakeholders while passing a vote of confidence on Senator Kalu, described him as a true son of Abia North who has imparted the people of the zone positively through wide spread dividends of democracy in the zone.
The communique further stated; “We have observed with utmost dismay, a scheme by the Senate president, Senator Godswill Akpabio to use the Court of Appeal to remove the senator representing Abia North senatorial zone, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
“We want to make it categorically clear that the Abia North Political Stakeholders will not take such from anyone, no matter how highly placed, and as such warn Senator Akpabio to desist forthwith from any move whatsoever targeted at removing Senator Orji Uzor Kalu from the National Assembly. “Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is man of the people who has imparted positively on the people of the zone. There is no part of the zone that has not felt his touch, ranging from road construction to human resources management and empowerment. Anyone who tries to remove him will be met with resistance,” the group warned.
