Terrorism: 50 Pupils Of Niger State School Escape, Reunite With Families

Barely two days after deadly terrorists stormed St. Mary’s Catholic Private Primary and Secondary School, Niger State during which they abducted 303 pupils and students as well as 12 teachers, 50 of the students have successfully escaped from the armed men.

The 50 students have reunited with their families.

This was disclosed by the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese and Proprietor of the school, Most Rev. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna.

Bishop Yohanna in a statement on Sunday, November 23, 2025, said the pupils, who went to their various homes, did not return to the school after they escaped from their abductors.
