Suspected terrorists have invaded the family home of one of the former national chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former governor of Bauchi State, Alhaji Adamu Ahmed Mu’azu, in his native Boto home town of Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of the State.

The daredevil terrorists during the invasion of the residence, killed a 25-year-old nephew of the former governor by name, Danladi Mu’azu and abducted three other family members.

It was gathered that the gunmen initially targeted the children and grandchildren of Mu’azu who visited the community for the Eid-El-Kabir celebration and in the process, killed Danladi when they could not lay their hands on any of them.

It was further gathered that the deadly terrorists in turn abducted the sister of the former PDP national chairman, Hajiya Asma’u Adamu, Malama Halima Abdullahi and one Nura.

Commenting on the incidence, a resident of Boto village, Hashimu Abubakar, said the terrorists are yet to contact any member of the family while all the phones of the kidnap victims are presently switched off.

Abubakar explained that the terrorists invaded the village at about 1:00am and went straight to Adamu Mu’azus house where he used to sleep and immediately broke the gate.

He said that as soon as they gained entrance to the house, they started demanding for where the former PDP national Chairman’s children or grandchildren were kept.

According to him; “They searched the house and when they could not find anyone, they shot Danladi in the head and abducted three family members”.

The spokesman of the Police Command in Bauchi State, confirmed the unfortunate development, saying that the police was working round the clock to rescue the abducted victims and also bring the perpetrators to book.
