Terrorists Kingpin, Bello Turji Should Not Be Allowed To Stay – CDS
The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, on Friday, January 24, 2025, said that notorious terrorists leader, Bello Turji, who inflicted untold hardship on innocent citizens and killed several people, should not be allowed to stay.
This was as he said that notorious terrorist kingpin, Bello Turji, has indicated willingness to surrender after his second in command and other of his lieutenants were recently taken out by the military.
General Musa, who stated these on Friday, January 24, 2025, when he featured on Channels Television programme “Politics Today”, said that the terrorists kingpin, Turji has now been forced to discard most of those under him, thus, signalling his willingness to lay down his arms.
In the words of General Musa; “The terrorists are within the communities; the people know them. Sometimes when they see them, before you get the information, it’s like two hours – the man has moved. So, when the information gets to you, before you move, he has left that area.
“But I can tell you, we have taken out his second in command and we have taken out most of his lieutenants. In fact, he is forced now to release most of the people under him.
“I am telling you that recently, he is beginning to say that he doesn’t want anything, he is ready surrender,” the CDS said.
The CDS however, stressed that despite Turji’s reported willingness to surrender, such a notorious terrorist that was engaged in killing innocent citizens cannot and should not be trust or spared.
He said; “We want to take everybody out. Anybody who has killed should go, people like him should not be allowed to stay”.
