Terrorists Release Video Of 176 Woro Residents Of Kwara State In Captivity

Islamic terrorists have released a video showing 176 residents abducted from Woro community in the Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State on February 4, 2026.

In the footage trending on social media, several of the captives that are made up of mainly women and children, including a nursing mother, are seen standing in rows while one of the armed terrorists asked them question on where there were abducted from.

Three of the women, who spoke in Hausa language, identify Woro community as the location of their abduction.

Curiously, the terrorists in the video, accused the Kwara State Government of lying and underestimating the scale of the incident by reducing the number of those abducted.

The terrorist who also spoke in Hausa in the video said the officials of government are telling the public that only about 20 or 30 people were kidnapped as against the actual figure of 176 persons that are currently being held.

The released video has renewed concerns among residents across Kwara State, particularly in communities within the Kaiama axis, where repeated attacks by armed groups have been reported in recent months.

The Kwara State government is yet to issue any official statement to the released video and the claims by one of the terrorists that spoke with regards to the actual number of people that were abducted from Woro.

Terrorists on February 4, 2026, attacked Woro community in Kwara State, killing several residents and abducting many others.

It was gathered that among the victims that were killed included the two wives of the traditional ruler, his children, and prominent members of the community, among others.
