The Church Is Better Positioned To Correct Societal Wrongs – NCPC Boss

BY TEMI OHAKWE, ABUJA – The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev Yakubu Pam has said that the church is in a better position to correct the wrongs in the society.

Rev Pam, who stated this at a Fund Raising Service for the completion of the Sunday School building at the Church of Christ In Nations (COCIN), Gigiring, Jos, sad that the church at this trying time in th nation’s history should not just stand aloof, but should speak out constructively to make a difference.

The NCPC boss, who was the Chairman of the occasion, also called on the church to get things right and join forces with the government to move the nation forward.

Pam noted that the task of saving the country from its present security challenges and social maladies should begin from their immediate environment.

He urged the church to shun ethnicity, difference in denominations and religious intolerance and charged it to always strive to keep the unity of the body of Christ and ensure that the interest of the other faith are protected.

Pam stressed the need for Nigerians to look up to God as He is the only one that would heal the nation.
