Tinubu Places Emphasis On Youths As Champion Of His Govt – Presidency

The Presidency has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu place emphasis on Nigerian youths as the champions of his administration.

Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Media and Public Communications, Mr Sunday Dare, who stated this while addressing over 24,000 young people at the Arise Congress 2.0, with the theme; “The Emergence of Champions”, held at the Baptist International Convention Centre along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, said that President Tinubu has initiated several policies benefitting young Nigerians.

In his keynote address, Dare, who is also the Chairman of the Youth and Student Ministries Advisory Board of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, said that the policies of President Tinubu are also providing young Nigerians with a platform to reach their potential and excel using their faith, talent, and skills.

At the event which kickstarted on Wednesday and expected to come to a close on Saturday, September 6, 2025, Dare stressed the importance of character, determination, discipline, and self-motivation in achieving success.

Dare explained that he was not discussing politics, but encouraging Nigerian youths to take advantage of available opportunities in the President Tinubu administration and make a positive impact in their communities.

He particularly urged Nigerian youths to have faith in President Tinubu’s administration.

He listed some of the President’s initiatives that aimed at empowering young Nigerians to include: – NELFUND Tuition Loans and Stipends in which over 600,000 students have benefitted, the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer aimed at providing affordable houses for three million vulnerable households, and the Food Security and Poverty Alleviation for which the administration has released over thousands of metric tons of grains from federal strategic reserves and implemented emergency nutrition support in several states. In attendance at the event were notable figures that included Rev. Israel Adelani Akanji, who is the Convener and President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev. Dr. S. Olawuyi James – Host and Director of Youth and Student Ministries, Rev. Dr. Israel Kristilere – Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Rev. Michael Onyegbu, Pastor Fela Durotoye, and CP Lanre Ogunlowo – Commissioner of Police, Ogun State command.
