Tragedy has struck a Nigerian family in Mbarikyor Wadoor community of Gwer Local Government Area in Benue State as their 31-year-old daughter reportedly died just four days after her wedding.
Reports said the deceased, identified as Ate Joy Veronica, passed on following a brief illness and has already been buried in her home town.
According to the reports, late Veronica and her now distressed husband, Irabor Samuel, from Edo State, had their traditional and court weddings on Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26, 2021 respectively.
However, family sources said Veronica suddenly became sick on Monday, June 28; and died the following day, Tuesday, June 29 under very mysterious circumstances.
The sources confirmed that though still in shock over the sudden death of their daughter, family members on Saturday, July 10, 2021 committed to mother earth the remains of Veronica, a Marketing graduate, in her hometown of Mbarikyor Wadoor.
For now, tongues are still wagging as to what sickness could have caused the sudden death of Veronica, described as easy going and full of life going into her marriage. – With agency reports
