Tribunal Confirms Fayemi As Ekiti Gov

The Ekiti Governorship Election Tribunal sitting in Abuja has upheld Dr Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as duly elected governor of the State.

Delivering its ruling on Monday, the tribunal unanimously struck out the petition by Kolapo Olusola of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Tribunal held that Governor Fayemi’s emergence as winner of the gubernatorial polls conducted on July 18, 2018 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) substantially complied with the existing Electoral Act
