Slated to hold at Dnipro Arena, the match would be the first meeting between both countries at the senior level

“We will look at the reaction of the players. The coverage is completely different. We will analyze how the muscles of the players react,” Shevchenko said in an interview.

The report published on the official website of Ukraine Football Federation (UFF) quotes the Head Coach as saying; “After our training in Dnipro, we will decide on the players that will take to the field.

“I have the opportunity to give playing time to those players that did not play against Lithuania. I think you’ll see more of these names in the lineup.”

The Ukrainians will have an open training session today (Monday) which will be open to the media and soccer fans.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian handler, Coach Gernot Rohr has 21 players at his disposal but Kelechi Iheanacho of Leicester City remains absent for the game.

The Eagles’ players in camp for the friendly include Samuel Chukwueze, Maduka Okoye, Leon Balogun and Victor Oshimen.

The Eagles, which had their first training session in Dnipro on Sunday ahead of the encounter, were also boosted by the arrival of Torino’s Ola Aina, West Brom’s Semi Ajayi and Leganes’ Chidozie Awaziem

After the workout session, most of the players were happy to link up with the national team since their bronze medal finishing at the 2019 African Cup of Nations tournament.

This is even as the team’s newcomers revelled in their call-ups and joining up for action with Gernot Rohr’s team. – Agency report
