A serving lecturer with the University of Abuja is presently in a critical situation and battling with how to survive and overcome the merciless beaten he allegedly received from his students of the Department of Banking and Finance over examination issues.

The lecturer who is yet to be properly identified, allegedly received the beating of his life following his attempt to abridge the time allowed for a particular examination paper in the ongoing semester examinations of the institution.

A trending video showed how the lecturer was mercilessly beaten by the angry students for collecting their examination papers barely 45minutes into a three hours allowed time for the paper.

It was gathered that all attempts by the students to make the lecturer understand that the time allotted for the paper which is a four credit load course was three hours and not 45minutes, fell on the deaf ears of the lecturer, a development that infuriated the students and eventually led to their pouncing on him and thereby dealt a devastating blows and dirty slaps on him just as some brutally kicked him.

A student of the institution who spoke to Forefront on condition of anonymity, said the lecturer in question takes liberty in seeing that students do not pass their exams as he would always disallowed them from completing their allotted time any time he is supervising examination.

According to the student; “The students are really tired of his wicked actions in the past which led many students to carry over courses they ought not to. How do you expect an examination in the University to last only 45 minutes? Even a GS course cannot be allotted such a time”.
