UPDATES ON KAJURU KILLINGS:: Again, 6 Feared Dead, Houses Burnt
BY SIMON REEF MUSA, ABUJA – Information reaching Forefront from several sources indicate that no fewer than five people are feared killed in attack on Mikyali, a village in Kajuru Local Government Area, in the early hours of Wednesday May 13, 2020.
The attack on Mikyali is coming on the heels of attacks on two Adara villages, Bakin Kogi and Idanu. In Bakin Kogi, while the residents escaped the murderous expedition of the attackers, some houses were razed down by the invaders.
In Idanu village, one person was reported killed, while two were critically injured and have been taken to a medical facility for attention.
Though today’s early morning attack on Mikyali is yet to be confirmed by any security source, tension is said to be building among restive youths in the area since Monday night attack on Gonar Rogo
Mikyali, a village located along the Kachia-Kaduna road, is near Gonar Rogo village where no fewer than 17 persons were hacked to death on Monday. Motorists plying the road this morning, according to a source, are either returning back to Kachia or Kaduna for safety.
Contacted on phone, President of the Adara Development Association, Mr. Dio Maisamari, told our correspondent that he has so far confirmed that no fewer than five people were killed in the early morning attack unleashed on Mikyali village.
He also confirmed that one person was killed in Idanu, while other two people were critically injured. He also said that some houses in Bakin Kogi were completely destroyed by the attackers after the village was deserted by fear-stricken villages.
