We Will Change The Face Of Pilgrimage In Nigeria – NCPC ES, Adegbite Assures

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has assured that he would change the face of pilgrimage in Nigeria.

Adegbite, who gave the assurance when he received in audience officials of the Organisation of African Instituted churches (OAIC), led by its President, His Most Eminence, Baba Aladura, Elder Dr. Israel Akinadewoin, in Abuja on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, said that the position he holds is key to bringing positive change to the face of pilgrimage in Nigeria.

While expressing gratitude to the entire Nigerian Christendom for the support he has so far received since his announcement as the new Executive Secretary of the commission, Adegbite said that with the help of God and the support of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), he would put the NCPC and pilgrimage on a high pedestal.

He therefore called on Christians to work together as true ministers of God for one common goal  and to also work together as true ministers for the growth of Christianity and Nigeria at large.

The NCPC boss told his guests of his visit to the Israeli, who informed him that Israel gates are now open to pilgrims, adding that he remained eternally grateful to God for placing him at the helm of affairs in the NCPC.

While assuring that he was ever ready to make a positive impact that would be found worthy of emulation as he pilots the affairs of pilgrimage in the country, Adegbite expressed gratitude to the OAIC for deeming it worthy to pay him a congratulatory visit.

The Bishop charged members of the OAIC to pray for peace in Nigeria.

Earlier, the President of the OAIC, Dr. Israel Akinadewo, said that the appointment of Bishop Adegbite as the new Executive Secretary of NCPC gladdened his heart, adding that it was on that note that the whole blocks of CAN were in the Commission to pledge their full allegiance to him as one of their own.

According to Akinadewo; “This appointment gladdens my heart and honestly, this is a wonderful feat. That is why we are here with the entire blocks of CAN.

“NCPC is in the right hand, Bishop Adegbite’s appointment cut across blocks, the Government will not regret this! We are ever ready to support Christianity and the Government of Nigeria,” he assured.
