We’ve Got Nothing To Hide – President Buhari Says
BY SEGUN ADEBAYO, ABUJA – President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday in Daura said that his administration has nothing to hide as its books are open for scrutiny.
Buhari told journalists shortly after carrying out his revalidation of his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that the nation’s balance sheet is open for the National Assembly and all Nigerians.
This was contained in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu in which he said that the President assured Nigerians of the full implementation of the 2021 budget.
Buhari said; “With all transparency and openness in meeting the targets, we appreciate the National Assembly for the effective and detailed attention before the passage”.

According to Buhari; “We have directed all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies to follow what is in the budget so that we can get the National Assembly to easily support the next budget.
“We can tell them what we have received, and how it was spent. We are always ready to make the balance sheet available for all Nigerians and the National Assembly. We have nothing to hide”.
President Buhari said his administration has given more attention to agriculture in order to diversify and strengthen the economy, saying; “We are still grateful to Morocco for the support they gave us in producing fertilizer in the country”.
He further said; “We have 42 companies producing fertilizer in six geopolitical zones”.
