Why Nigerians Will Reject Tinubu In 2027 – Kwankwaso

Former Kano State Governor and leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of betraying the trust, mandate and expectations of Nigerians.

Kwankwaso, who contested the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the New Nigeria People’s Party ((NNPP), noted that majority of Nigerians are so disappointed in the leadership style of President Tinubu, thus will vehemently reject him in 2027.

He particularly noted that while President Tinubu inflicted so much hardship on the teaming majority of Nigerians, he has demonstrated and clearly shown less concern about the people, but more interest in his personal comfort, those of his immediate family members and cronies around him.

According to Kwankwaso; “Tinubu is not bothered about what happens to suffering Nigerians who are going through severe pains and hardship as a result

and not bothered about the sufferings Nigerian citizens are experiencing as a result of his policies which were not well thought out before implementation.

He pointedly said that Nigerians would ultimately express their dissatisfaction against Tinubu through the ballot in the 2027 general elections.

In the words of Kwankwaso; “The same people Tinubu has failed will answer him with their votes in 2027. I can never support him now or at any point in the future”.

Kwankwaso explained that his political journey has consistently been driven by a commitment to safeguarding the dignity, welfare, and long-term future of the Nigerian people.

Kwankwaso’s scathing criticism of Tinubu’s style of administration, added to the growing wave of criticisms from key opposition figures, thus reflecting mounting political tension as the country as the countdown to 2027 elections gathers momentum.

Kwankwaso, who has resigned his membership of the NNPP is expected to formally defect to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Monday, March 30, 2026.

gradually shifts focus toward the 2027 elections, a development political analysts noted signals early positioning and alliance-building among key political actors ahead of an expected fiercely contested race.
