Worrisome: Terrorists Threaten To Kidnap President Buhari, Gov. Elrufai, Senators, Others If…
In what appeared a deft and bold move, the terrorists group that abducted some passengers of the Abuja-Kaduna bound train some months ago, have threatened to abduct President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.
This is coming few weeks the terrorists attacked the convoy of an advance team of the president on its way to Daura, few days to Sallah celebration during which some persons sustained injuries.
The terrorist group which announced its threat in a new trending video where its members were seen mercilessly flogging some of the train passengers in their captivity with heavy sticks, pointedly threatened to abduct and kill President Buhari and Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.
In the trending video on social media, the terrorists also vowed that they would destroy the country, kill the remaining train passengers in their captivity and sell out others.
The Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) invaded Kuje Prison, Abuja and freed about 800 inmates that included the terrorists in detention.
This was as it was gathered that the over 60 abducted train passengers jubilated when the Kuje was attacked and the inmates particularly the detained terrorists were freed.
Few days after the Kuje Prison attack by the terrorists, 11 of the passengers of the Abuja-Kaduna train that were abducted on March 28, 2022 were set free after allegedly paying N100 million each.
Speaking in Hausa language in the viral video, one of the leaders of the terrorists in green turban, warned that unless the government comply with their demands without delay, they would turn the area into an abattoir by killing their victims.
In his words; “This is our message to the government of Nigeria and just as you have seen these people here, by God’s grace, you will see your leaders; your senators and governors will come before us. These ones you are seeing here, we will keep some as our slaves and sell them off just as our Imam told you in the past.
“Just like the Chibok girls that were sold off, we will equally sell these ones as slaves. If you don’t adhere to our demands, we will kill the ones we need to kill and sell the remaining. By God’s grace, El-Rufai, Buhari, we will bring you here,” he declared.
The development is seen in certain quarters as a clear display of audacious disdain by the terrorists for the nation’s security arrangement and capability to defend her territorial integrity against external attacks particularly with the boast to kidnap the President.
