BY ADEYEMI AKANJI – The Bauchi State chapter of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), has extended its hands of political fellowship to Governor Bala Mohammed, and his supporters to declare for it.
Governor Mohammed is expected to resign his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) any moment from today.
A statement by Khalid Arewa, National Publicity Secretary of ZLP, stated that it has members and offices in the 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the State as well as all the wards, a development that will make integration easy.
Arewa particularly said that the ZLP is the right party the Governor should lead his supporters and admirers to join considering that it has a formidable structure in the State.
The ZLP assured that it is ready to surrender all its structure Governor Mohammed as soon as he joins its fold, stressing that all his supporters and admirers will be easily accommodated.
Arewa further stated that the ZLP will ensure that Governor Mohammed succeed in his political aspirations if he eventually joins the party.
The ZLP commended Governor Mohammed for taking the bold steps in dumping the PDP which has been riddled with lingering leadership crisis for a while now.
