20 Massacred In Plateau Night Attack

Claims of having restored peace in Plateau are being debunked, as a late night attack on Ancha village of Miango in Bassa local government area of the state has left no fewer than 20 persons brutally murdered, while scores of injured others have been hospitalized.
Local sources in Ancha village who confirmed the incident said the attack was carried out by armed Fulani herdsmen who have been laying siege on the area.
Although the state Police command is yet to confirm the incident, sources in Miango and Ancha village insist the attack was a terrible experience for the villagers last Thursday night, saying those injured were rushed to the nearest hospital, Enos Hospital, with various degrees of injuries inflicted on them by the attackers.
Although the sources could not confirm the cause of the attack, they blame the Simon Lalong-led administration for low security concentration and non-existent deployment of security in the area.
There have been reports of uneasy calm in Barkin Ladi and Bokkos local government areas of the state of recent due to the sinister operation of suspected Fulani herdsmen in that axis of the state.
