2019: Buhari Not Prepared to Hand Over – Prophet El-Buba
BY CHAMBERLAIN ODEY, JOS – Prophet Isa El-Buba of the Evangelical Outreach Ministries International (EBOMI), has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari is not ready to hand over power and quit the scene in 2019, as it is obvious he will be defeated in the forthcoming general elections.
Addressing journalists in Jos on recent developments in the country, El-Buba said the Buhari administration “is a government of liars that has concluded plans on how to frustrate the opposition and Nigerians, and perpetrate itself in power”.
“That is why I have told you that I will immediately pull and drop this gown, and return to the trenches. This is a very wicked government, and we are aware of their plans”, he said.
Describing the recent massacre of soldiers in Metele, Borno State by Boko Haram insurgents as ” a shame of a country”, Buba said the incident has exposed the dishonesty in the Government of Nigeria”, adding that “given the cost of training one soldier, no responsible government can afford to have handled such a huge loss the way this government is going about it”.
Prophet Buba called for the resignation or sack of the service chiefs, explaining that that national tragedy in which young soldiers were blown off by enemy invasion and attack shows the service chiefs no longer have anything to offer in terms of securing the country from its enemies.
“Boko Haram as a matter of fact is subsisting because of the dishonesty in the system. Some people are making a lot of money by sustaining the insurrection by pretending to be fighting it. Government is not genuinely committed to ending it, if not, Boko Haram should have been long forgotten”, Buba said.
Stating that Nigerians are suffering and that quality of life has dropped drastically under the Buhari administration, El-Buba maintained that Nigerians are suffering because of bad governance, especially that the Buhari government has been serially dishonest in its claims from infrastructure provision to agriculture and healthcare, emphasizing that “the so-called school feeding program is a big scam”.
Although he declined to advise Nigerians on the candidate to vote for in the forthcoming general elections, he emphasised the virtues of fear of God, competence, and credibility, saying he is in network with some patriotic and credible individuals working to evolve a good governance platform and visionary leadership.
Noting that with good leadership to harness and channel Nigeria’s natural endowments properly, Nigeria should be far ahead of where she is, he warned that the stench of corruption in high places in Nigeria has reached a level where revolution looks inevitable.
